Linking Your Aadhaar to your Bank Account

  • As per the amendment in PMLA rules by the Government,all bank accounts should be linked with Aadhaar by 31st December, 2017 (now extended 'indefinitely' till judgement on the petitions pending before the Supreme Court is pronounced), failing which bank accountholder will not be able to operate their accounts till the time the Aadhaar number is submitted and linked to the bank accounts.   • RBI has clarified on 21st October, 2017 that as per the amendment in the PMLA rules by the Government all bank accounts should be linked with Aadhaar by 31st December, 2017, which is now extended now extended 'indefinitely' till judgement on the petitions pending before the Supreme Court is pronounced.   • Please visit any Bharat Bank branch and submit Aadhaar Consent Form alongwith a copy of your Aadhaar Card. Click here to download the Aadhaar Consent Form. The form is also available at the Branches.

  • If you are unable to visit the Branch, you may also email the duly filled and signed Aadhaar Consent Form and aself-attested copy of your Aadhaar Card to your Base Branch. Click here to view email ID of your Base Branch.

  • You need not send the SMS mentioned above if you have already submitted Aadhaar Consent Form to the Bank.

  • Joint Accountholders, Minors, Authorised Signatories are also required to link Aadhaar to Bank Account.

  • All the authorized signatories in a non-individual account should update their Aadhaar and PAN (or Form 60 if PAN is not available).

  • If you have applied for Aadhaar and have not yet received it, you may download e-Aadhaar from UIDAI website using the enrolment id and details mentioned in the acknowledgement slip. (https://eaadhaar.uidai.gov.in)

  • Aadhaar Linking is not mandatory for NRE customers and in BSBDA Small Accounts.

  • Joint Accountholders and Authorised Signatories (other than the primary accountholder) cannot use SMS facility to link Aadhaar. They must submit Aadhaar Consent Form at the Branch to link their Aadhaar Numbers.
