No sensitive information is stored on the device by the Mobile Banking App. All information pertaining to your transactions, credentials, requests are stored securely in the bank's environment protected by multiple layers of security.
All data in transit is secured thorough usage of SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) which ensures that data traversal between the mobile app & server, is in an encrypted state. The Mobile app undergoes regular Vulnerability Assessments & Penetration Tests to provide all parties a high level of Security Assurance. All practical steps are taken to ensure that personal information will not be kept longer than necessary. Access to your personal information to Bank staff is on a need-to-know basis – to offer you the required services. The Bank complies with all legal, statutory and regulatory requirements concerning the retention of personally identifiable information.
For initiating financial transactions, you are required to use OTP (One-Time-Password) which is valid for a specific time & applies to a single specified transaction. Security Questions sought in the app are stored securely in the bank's servers and these are used to validate you to enable the bank to provide you assistance in case you have difficulty in accessing your mobile banking account, Net banking account or such other electronic services offered by the bank where face-to-face interaction is not possible due to the very nature of the channel.
